New furniture for the Baby!

Last weekend we went out to Medford, MN and visited the furniture outlet. We went looking for a gliding rocking chair. Well, we found one. We had it delivered on Saturday and put it in the baby's room.




He has been kicking and moving a lot lately. Whenever Kathie is sitting and especially relaxing, he kicks a lot. He also does not like to be surprised. I have touched the belly and he moves in a big way. He also reminds Kathie when he is hungry.

Of course we are keeping up with the pictures of the belly here.

No room in the bed

The cats have started to both sleep on the bed at night. This makes it fun to try and find leg room. Kathie is usually curled up, but I need to stretch out and I sometimes bump a cat or two.

This just started as Tyler has decided to grace us with his presence and not wake us at various time of the night. That has been greatly appreciated.

Work has been going well. Jon is staying very busy working on web sites and Kathie is still busy seeing patients for various studies.

Holy brrrrrrrr

It was the coldest day of the winter yesterday and what do we do? We drive for 45 minutes to shop for furniture. We went to Medford, MN and the outlet store there. We found a nice glider rocker and it will be delivered next weekend.

Kathie has really been feeling the baby move quite a bit. She calls it kick boxing. I felt him for the first time this past week as well. Very cool! He also seems to like my driving, as Kathie has noted he likes to move while we are in the car.

We are both excited and getting ready for the coming baby.

Boy or Girl?

Well, we went to Kathie's appointment and got everything checked out. The baby has ten fingers and ten toes. It weighs 10 ounces, and is perfectly healthy. Lucky for us Bert was not shy. Ok, I've talked long enough, we are having a boy!!

Time to update

Wow what a busy week. I had a dentist and doctors appointment. Work kept both of us busy, and tired. Jon Has been exercising every night except for Sunday. I guess it is time to update the blog, and start on our website.

I have a big list and a lot of little things to change on the web site. Text and pictures need to be updated, and remove a couple of things to get ready for the baby.

Speaking of...the baby now has its' first piece of furniture. Some shelves and baskets to fit in them. We needed a place to store what we currently have. The room is now empty and ready for the big pieces.

Be sure to check in on Wednesday night Thursday, as we'll be announcing boy or girl. We are excited and can't wait.

Decompressing and relaxing

Kathie and Jon have been relaxing at home about every night over the past week. Jon has been cleaning out the baby's room. In fact the bed that was in there is now downstairs. The closet is even cleaned out. We are planning out where things are going to go and what to get. The cats have sure been a great help.

Kathie is feeling a lot better. Morning sickness is pretty much gone. It comes back every once in a while, but they are getting further apart. She says that she can feel some movement every couple of days. We should find out boy or girl in the middle of the month.

We are both excited and are shopping for things and looking for things for the baby. Good thing there is a Babies R s in town. And better yet, it is attached to the Toys R us.
