Update for Sept 30th

Jacob is enjoying his preschool time at daycare. He is now able to bring us items we ask for like his sippy cup or a ball. His language skills are getting a lot better. His words include: kitty, daddy, mommy, go, and what sounds like thank you or welcome. He plays and moves so fast and with such energy, that we get tired just watching him.

I am signing up for another 5k run on Halloween. I am still running and have ran 50 miles in a month for the last 2 months. Our house is still for sale and we are ready for a sale or waiting until spring to try again.

Here are a number of videos. They stretch all the way back to the beginning of August. Jacob's first baseball game, swinging with Great Grandma, Izzie and running around after bath time...

Update for Sept 23rd

It has been a busy last week. Jacob loves going to daycare, so much so that he does not pause to say goodbye. No illness for anybody yet. I have started running in the mornings. Only one person showed at our open house, so we dropped our price.

Our nights are filled with cleaning the house after Jacob is asleep and watching the Twins play. Keeping the house clean has been a huge task with a 15 month old. He pulls everything out and spreads it everywhere. He new thing is to try and kiss with an open mouth. He kisses Mickey every morning when the theme song comes on.

Not many pictures this week, maybe next week.

We have matching Iowa State shirts

Matching Iowa State shirts

Jacob and I now have matching ISU shirts. Only because Kathie was sorry that Iowa beat ISU so bad.

Update for Sept 16th

Since the last update we have been busy. He had a house showing on Friday. On Saturday I got up early and ran my 5K. It was a goal of mine for about a month to finish a 5K run.

We then sat down and watched the Iowa/Iowa State game. Jacob was still confused like we was last year:

And the game was just too long...

He then had fun in the bath...

Then on Wednesday, he loved to play with the finger paints...

We are all doing well and hoping to sell our house soon. We have a open house this weekend and have been looking at a couple of houses. Work is good and keeping us both very busy.

Back into a pattern

I know that I have not been the best for updating this blog. Well, with a new initiative, I plan to write at least one post a week, and even have pictures as well.

On to updating what we are up to now. Jacob is growing and talking quite a bit. Only "kitty" "go" and "Mom" are words we can make out. "Dad" is close and maybe even "Got it". He loves to play with his baseball and bat.

This past weekend, we went to Northwest Iowa for Dan's wedding. It was a beautiful day for a wedding. I was the best man and Jacob made his way up front and played out of sight in the pulpit. It was a great day and evening.

I have new pictures up and will be posting them as I load them. Look to hear more from us every week.
